Introducing Maylands Chiropractor Dr. Greg Marslen

Introducing Maylands Chiropractor Dr. Greg Marslen

"Chiropractic care is a unique approach to the health and wellness of the individual. In all of us there is an inborn response to be well. Our ability to remain well depends upon our ability to adapt to stresses in the environment, be they physical, chemical or emotional. Chiropractic care focuses on correcting mechanical imbalance (subluxation) in the body. This may have an adverse effect on the nervous system causing a variety of health problems and affecting overall wellness. This occurs most commonly in the spine. Chiropractic care, in conjunction with good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle gives us the best chance to maintain our wellness".

Dr Marslen graduated as a chiropractor in 1984 from Phillip Institute in Melbourne(now RMIT University). On shifting to Western Australia in 1984 he began a practice in Northam and Merredin. In 1988 he moved back to Perth and began to practice with Dr Andrea Keil in the western suburbs of Perth. Greg and Andrea have been married for over 18 years and have 4 children. Recently they have relocated their practice to Maylands to be closer to home and children's schools. Dr Keil has practiced in Perth since 1986 having also graduated from Phillip Institute in Melbourne.

Introducing Maylands Chiropractor Dr Jacqui Taylor

Chiropractic has been a part of my life for many years.

While I have found chiropractic has helped me to be at my best, it was not until I experienced living with someone with chronic pain that I was inspired to become a chiropractor. Watching them try all medicine had to offer and yet find no relief, I was amazed to see the impact that chiropractic care can have on quality of life, even in extreme cases. As a practising chiropractor it is a privilege to be able to support and assist people to achieve relief and guide them through both treatment and advice to better health. Our focus is not just on the individual, but also for caring for the needs of the whole family.

Chiropractic care proactively assists you to enjoy optimal health by removing spinal interference that is preventing your nervous system from functioning efficiently. Only when your nervous system is supporting you body’s own inbuilt ability to self-regulate and self-heal can you experience health.

Dr Taylor graduated as a chiropractor from Murdoch University with first class honours. Before joining the team at Marslen Chiropractic, Dr Taylor has enjoyed working with families from Kununurra to Midland. She is currently actively pursuing additional qualifications in treating children.

To experience better health have a chiropractic check-up regularly. I look forward to assisting you.

Dr. Greg Asks some important questions of interest to Maylands residents - Chiropractor Maylands Dr. Greg Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
