Dr. Bridget Axford

My awareness for chiropractic first came from seeing a chiropractor to help improve my performance and recovery in rowing in my early teens, which has been a massive part of my life. I've always been curious about how the body works—it's been a passion of mine since I was young!

This passion led me to pursue chiropractic studies at Murdoch University, graduating as the 5th Year Dux, awarded by Chiropractic Australia.

Currently, I'm furthering my studies with a two-year Diplomate in Chiropractic Paediatrics and endeavouring to complete additional courses in sports chiropractic. My goal is to provide optimal care for the whole family using a variety of techniques.

When I'm not at the office, you can find me on the water rowing, enjoying Sunday morning walks by the river with my dogs Ava and Esmae, getting lost in a good book, or spending quality time with family and friends.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your health journey!

Dr. Stephanie Marslen

Dr Steph is currently on maternity leave! She will be returning to Marslen Chiro in mid 2025. Dr. Bridget is taking care of her patients while she is on leave.

I have always had a keen interest in health, wellbeing, and helping others live the best lives they can, which led me to complete my 5 years of Chiropractic at Murdoch University.

With both of my parents being Chiropractors, it was natural for me to follow in their footsteps!

Working alongside my parents, our patients come from all over Perth (even all over WA!) and from all walks of life. It is common for us to care for several generations within the same family, something which is very special to me.

I continue to develop my knowledge to best help my community, so it was only natural to complete my post graduate Diplomate from the Australian College of Chiropractic Paediatrics. Caring for the whole family is important to me, so specialised further study was high on my list!

In the last few years I have been travelling Australia, first working in Far North Queensland for a year, then setting up in Broome for 2 years, where I started my own practice Cable Beach Chiropractic. Working in rural and remote areas has given me a whole new appreciation for chiropractic care, and I feel I will be bringing a lot of extra knowledge, learning and skills back to Perth.

I have just moved home and am currently on maternity leave caring for my new baby boy. I'm super grateful to be able to be home surrounded by friends and family, and of course to be able to access excellent pregnancy and paediatric chiropractic care at Marslen Chiro! I will be returning to practice mid-2025.

I look forward to meeting you at our practice, and to helping you on your path to better health!
