Dr. Steph is BACK - Mid July

Finally! Dr. Steph will be BACK in Maylands mid July!

Hi everyone - Steph here! I know it's been awhile - I think I said I'd be gone for 6 months (whoops). It may have been a bit longer but I'm coming back to Marslen Chiropractic on July 15th.

As most of you know I had my little guy Toby in February :) Having kids was always a dream, and now he's here I'll only be coming back to Maylands part time. My initial hours will be:

  • Tuesday 9am-12pm

  • Friday 9am-12pm

These will slowly extend over time. Online bookings are now available on our website.

I'm super excited to be returning - I've learnt so much in the last 3 years, and I know I'll be bringing an abundance of clinical experience back to the practice, helping me to take care of you at a higher level.

Where have I been?

The first year we spent in Far North Queensland, living in Mission Beach, a small beachside town 2 hours south of Cairns. We spent a lot of time exploring that incredible area - from the northern tip of Australia at the top of Cape York (we did the Old Telegraph Track, for any 4WD enthusiasts!), down to the Whitsundays where we camped and snorkelled the islands, and so much in between.

I worked in 2 chiropractic practice locations in 2 country towns, taking care of people ranging from infants to the elderly, from office workers to the cane and banana farmers. It was very varied, diverse practice, and I learnt very quickly how to adapt both my chiropractic adjusting and my health advice to many different scenarios. After all, telling someone to go for a post-adjustment walk when there's a tropical downpour going on outside isn't very effective!

We then moved to Broome, where I opened Cable Beach Chiropractic. I lived and worked as a chiropractor in Broome for 2 years, taking care of both locals and tourists. We explored the Kimberley, driving the Gibb River Road, seeing Horizontal Falls, and spending many sunsets watching the camels amble along Cable Beach!

Even though we kept extending our trip, I always knew when a baby came along it would be time to come home, to be close to family and friends, and return to practice in Maylands. We got back just before last Christmas, in time to settle in before Toby was born.

The last 3 years have taught me so much - from how to adjust a Far North Queensland banana farmer, to adapting advice for a Broome pearl diver, to teaching pregnancy mobility classes, to birthing my own baby. I'm very excited to return to Marslen Chiropractic in Maylands and bring all of these experiences and increased expertise back to the practice, to care for you and your families!

Can't wait to see you all soon - Steph
